Anya defended her dissertation last week in the Odum School of Ecology at UGA (Trait-mediated effects and the extended phenotype: community interactions on coral reefs). She did a great job - an excellent seminar and rumor has it there was even laughter coming out of the defense. Many thanks to her committee (Tom Frazer, Erin Lipp, and John Wares) for all of their support and insights. Anya will remain in the lab for the summer and then heads back to the University of Florida, where she will be the Ewel Postdoctoral Fellow in Ecology and Environmental Science in the Tropics and Subtropics. She'll be working with Drs. Tom Frazer and Julie Meyer. Congratulations Anya! (thanks to Rebecca for the awful pun)
