Dan successfully defended his dissertation in May; and filed the final version of his dissertation last month (title: Indirect Effects of Cleaning Mutualisms on Coral Reef Community Structure and Functioning).  He'll officially graduate from UGA with his PhD in August.  Many thanks to his committee for their help and support (Jeb Byers, Rico Holdo, and Tom Adam). Dan is moving on to a post-doc with Eleanor Caves at Brown University (although Dan will be remote and based in San Diego most of the time).
